SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION

Role: Lead - Quality MEP (Electrical, HVAC, BMS & Piping)

SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role):

The Lead Quality MEP is responsible for ensuring that all MEP including HVAC, Electrical, ELV, Fire Protection, Plumbing, works and piping executed at the site conform to approved quality standards, client specifications, and statutory regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, supervising the QA/QC team, coordinating with vendors, execution teams, and clients to deliver a zero-defect product and maintain proper documentation for handover.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Implement and oversee quality plans and ITPs for all MEP activities, including fabrication, installation, and testing, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
2. Conduct stage-wise inspections for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems, as well as for Piping, fabrication, welding, surface preparation, and erection.
3. Ensure incoming materials (cables, pipes, valves, structural steel sections, etc.) are inspected, tested, and approved before use, as per standards and project requirements.
4. Coordinate with third-party agencies for material testing, NDT (for welding), and statutory inspections, ensuring timely clearances and documentation.
5. Supervise inspection of fabrication works (shop and site), including installation SOPs, welding, bolt tightening, painting, and galvanizing as per WPS, QAP, and client requirements.

SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical (QA/QC or NDT certification preferred)

Language Skills

Proficiency in English and Hindi

Experience: 5 to 15 years

Nature of Experience

Hands-on experience in implementing and monitoring QA/QC practices for MEP systems at project sites, with exposure to audits, inspection protocols, and compliance.
