II. Role Summary
The Lead – QA/QC – Site is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance and control for all construction activities at the project site. This includes oversight of civil, structural, MEP, and finishing works. The role ensures the robust implementation of quality systems, timely inspections, and testing protocols to achieve defect-free project delivery in full compliance with client, regulatory, and company standards.
III. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Quality Planning & Compliance
- Implement the site quality plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all trades.
- Ensure all executed work complies with technical specifications, international/national codes, and client-specific requirements.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Manage and lead the site QA/QC team, assigning daily responsibilities and reviewing technical inspection reports.
- Verify test results and provide technical mentorship to junior staff and technicians.
Multi-Stage Quality Inspections
- Oversee comprehensive inspections at every construction milestone, including excavation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and masonry.
- Manage quality benchmarks for waterproofing, plastering, tiling, painting, structural steel, and MEP installations.
Material Testing & Verification
- Supervise material inspections and review Vendor Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
- Coordinate on-site testing (e.g., concrete cube tests, slump tests) and manage interactions with third-party testing laboratories.
Continuous Improvement (CAPA)
- Identify deviations and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality failures and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to mitigate future risks.
IV. Key Interactions
Internal Stakeholders
- Project Manager / Construction Manager: To align quality objectives with construction timelines and project milestones.
- Site QA/QC Engineers & Technicians: For day-to-day operational guidance and report reviews.
External Stakeholders
- Clients & Consultants: For joint inspections, progress approvals, and quality audits.
- Third-Party Testing Agencies: To schedule and validate specialized technical tests and material certifications.
V. Knowledge & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, specialized QA/QC certifications, or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) credentials.
Experience Requirements
- Years of Experience: 5 to 15 years.
- Nature of Experience: Comprehensive hands-on experience managing QA/QC operations at large-scale project sites, with a focus on engineering specifications and inspection protocols.
Language Skills
- English & Hindi: Proficiency required for documentation and professional communication.
- Local Language: Working knowledge is considered a desirable asset for ground-level coordination.
VI. Skills Required

- Strong command of construction quality standards and global codes (IS, ASTM, ACI, etc.).
- Subject matter expertise in field testing methods and quality documentation.
