SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY
The Engineer – Finishing – Site is responsible for the supervision, execution, and quality assurance of all finishing works at the site, including interior and exterior finishes such as plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, ceiling, and cladding. The role ensures that finishing activities are completed on time, within quality standards, and in accordance with approved architectural drawings and specifications. The incumbent supports project delivery through detailed planning, contractor coordination, and monitoring site progress for all finishing-related works.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Execution & Supervision: Execute and supervise day-to-day finishing works including tiling, plastering, painting, false ceiling, flooring, joinery, and façade finishes.
- Technical Review: Review and interpret architectural and finishing drawings; ensure execution aligns with specifications and design intent.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor contractor activities, track work progress, and ensure timely completion of finishing milestones as per project schedule.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections to ensure quality of work and compliance with approved standards and mock-ups.
- Resource Coordination: Ensure availability of materials, tools, and resources at the site by coordinating with the procurement and stores teams.

Internal Stakeholders
- Project Manager / In-charge: Work planning, reporting, and progress tracking.
- Design / Engineering Team: Drawing clarifications and detailing inputs.
- QA/QC Team: Quality control, inspections, and approvals.
External Stakeholders
- Finishing Contractors: Execution of finishing scope and manpower deployment.
- Clients / Consultants: Site inspections, mock-up reviews, and snag approvals.
- Vendors / Material Suppliers: Material supply and on-site coordination.
SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Minimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in local language; working knowledge of English.
Experience
- Years of Experience: 3–15 years.
- Nature of Experience: Experience in coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring quality compliance in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
