II. Role Summary
The Civil Execution is responsible for directing and supervising all construction activities at the project site. This role ensures that every phase of the project—from structural work to final finishing—is executed in strict adherence to project specifications, timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards. The incumbent serves as the primary driver of site progress, managing subcontractors and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
III. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Execution & Planning
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily construction activities to ensure all project milestones are met on schedule.
- Direct the execution of work in precise alignment with approved drawings, technical specifications, and company quality standards.
- Ensure the timely availability of drawings, materials, tools, and equipment to prevent site downtime.
Resource & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with site functional teams, including Planning, QA/QC, and Safety.
- Manage subcontractors and labor teams, ensuring optimum utilization of resources and manpower.
- Collaborate with the Project Controls team to assist in progress measurement and accurate billing.
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce rigorous adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across the site.
- Proactively identify potential risks, technical issues, or schedule delays; implement immediate resolutions or escalate to management as required.
Inspection & Reporting
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and resolve technical hurdles on the ground.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily and weekly progress reports, and provide regular performance updates to management.
IV. Key Interactions
Internal Stakeholders
- Planning Team: To track the project schedule, update progress data, and adjust daily plans.
- QA/QC Team: To ensure all execution activities meet quality compliance and pass necessary inspections.
External Stakeholders
- Subcontractors: For the direct supervision and coordination of daily manual and technical work.
- Clients & Consultants: To ensure compliance with specific project requirements and to facilitate official quality checks and approvals.
V. Knowledge & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Experience Requirements
- Years of Experience: 5 to 15 years.
- Nature of Experience: Proven track record in the execution of civil and structural works for large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects. Must have experience handling large teams, managing subcontractors, and working with complex drawings and quality management systems.
Language Skills
- English & Hindi: Proficiency required for reporting and professional coordination.
- Regional Language: Knowledge of the local language is preferred for effective communication with site labor.
VI. Skills Required
Technical Skills
- Advanced Construction Management and site execution methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction drawings.
- Basic knowledge of Quantity Surveying and progress tracking.
- Familiarity with planning tools like MS Project or Primavera (basic level).
